This was my experience with Area's Best Sales in Salem. From the second my feet hit the ground in the lot I could tell this dealership was different. Steve, the owner, approached me immediately with a warm smile and a boatload of enthusiasm. A personal touch you never get at big dealerships. I gave him my specifications and what I was trying to accomplish, and without wasting my time he brought me to a couple of vehicles which matched my criteria.
Steve introduced me to his lot manager Jon and from there Jon gave me a complete breakdown of the truck I was looking at and the work that was done to it. The condition of the truck was incredibly clean inside and out. Both Steve and Jon were very honest, sincere, and very knowledgeable towards the vehicle and the financing packages available. In summation, for such a small dealership, it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I want to thank them for a straight forward approach and Honesty!
I wanted to share my positive experience with test driving and buying a 2015 Jeep from Areas Best Auto. Steve, John and the staff were really pleasant, knowledgeable and nice to work with. I took the Jeep for a test drive, John was with me during the test drive, we talked about the Jeep, the purchase process and just chatted. He was interesting to talk to. After the drive, I inspected the Jeep, under the hood was lots of dirt and mud, and the outside was a little dirty. Previous owner really liked to off road with it, which is fine. I put the deposit down on the Jeep that day. John said it would take a few days to prepare the paperwork. I am a Mass resident, so I would have to bring the Bill of Sale, Title and other documents to my insurance agency and the Mass RMV to get my plates. Once I have the plates, I can drive off with the Jeep. Since they are in New Hampshire they cannot issue Mass plates. Once the paperwork was ready, I brought a cashier’s check for the balance. John walked me through each of the papers, what to sign and what I was signing. John was very thorough with the process and ensured that all of the papers that I needed were there. He has definitely done this before. It took me a day to work with my insurance company and the Mass RMV to get the Jeep registered and Mass license plates. The next day, with Mass license plates in hand, I took an Uber to get the Jeep. The Jeep was sparkling clean from the inside, outside and under the hood. Steve mentioned the items they had done to the Jeep. I was impressed. He showed me how to use the winch and made sure I inspected the Jeep and that I was all set. John added an area for the front license plate, since the Jeep did not have a place for it. John put the plates on for me. It was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend Areas Best Auto!

I recently purchased a 2013 Ford Escape from Areas Best Auto and Steve and his team were amazing! Buying a used dependable vehicle from a dealer can be a little scary not knowing if you can trust the people who are selling it to you. Let's face it, most have a negative reputation for a reason. But Steve at Areas Best Auto is absolutely an exception to the rule! Steve took the time to understand what my needs were and the type of vehicle I was looking for. He was totally upfront and transparent with me and understood my concerns about buying a used vehicle and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I personally recommend Steve and Areas Best Auto for a truly honest, friendly, transparent and professional experience when it comes time to buying a quality and dependable used vehicle. Honestly the best auto buying experience I have had purchasing a used vehicle!
